Creating a new taxon description is painfully slow. It takes 10 seconds for popup to appear, 6 seconds to select a region on Google map and so on. Often browser timeouts and gives an AJAX error. Windows machine, though generally less powerful and much slower is lightning fast compaterd to Macbook Pro (MacOS 10.10.5)
When I click to any of my pages (except Home and Species), I always get Error: The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later. It started wit a page How to Cite a week ago, and now all my pages do the same thing. I did not apply to the Scratchpads last year, and realized such mistake only recently when my colleagues reported it to me.
When I click on "Save" after having edited the information on a name in my taxonomy, it takes a while and then the following error message appears:
An AJAX HTTP error occurred
An AJAX HTTP error occurred.
HTTP Result Code: 500
Debugging information follows.
StatusText: Internal Server Error
Apparently the information has been saved, though.
I am increasingly getting bogus registrations on my site ( about 2-4 per week), of people that are evidently not scientists, but who give bogus names, silly addresses and doubtful credentials. Can you think of a way of avoiding that? Deleting these is not much work, but it is a rather annoying. One consideration, however, is that if they are evidently bogus they are easier to just delete than if they are compelled to add actual University addresses. Cheers, Lukas.
Several links on the website are not found on the server.

- links to course description in table do not work: http://www.taxonomytraining.eu/content/expert-training-2014-2015
This has been an issue for some time and I thought I saw someone else post this, yet the problem persists.
When you upload an image and link it to a species, two thumbnails of it appear in the media window.
Allow changing the 'Dataset citation provided by publisher' and 'Default Citation'.
The dwcarchiver module should notify GBIF when a DwC-A is rebuilt. We will also need to ensure that a cached version of the archive is removed from Varnish.
Submitting a translated term gives a 404 error on localize.scratchpads.eu, or API key not found
The Scratchpads archives should allow an alternative identifier, which will therefore allow us to add a DOI from the Data Portal where a Scratchpad has been registered there (e.g. bio.acousti.ca). The atlernate DOI is added into the EML of the archive e.g. http://api.gbif.org/v1/dataset/7e380070-f762-11e1-a439-00145eb45e9a/document
I have plugin problem during uploading the Key, the attached screenshots show this problem.
I tried the Key locally and its working.
An association between a host and a louse on he Phthriaptera scratchpad was deleted, but persists in certain views on the site. Specifically the association between Pediculus humanus and Cynomys leucurus was deleted from the site. Nevertheless, this association still shows up on the following pages:
and http://phthiraptera.info/host-lice (search for the host Cynomys leucurus and you will see it).
Either the record is not deleting properly, or the data is persisting in one of the cache's for the site
Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to change who receives the Contact Us emails. I created a scratchpad but I am not the one who will be maintaining it.
I have uploaded a Lucid Key on my site.
But when I display the corresponding page, the message "Java(TM) needs your permission to run" is displayed. I agree with but nothing happen.
So as I am under Chrome Version 44.0.2403.157 m and that I have read that Chrome will disable all Java plugin, I have enabled NPAPI following the instructions here https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/chrome.xml
But nothing happen. The last version of Java is installed on my PC.
How may I fix this issue?
I want to display in the Arabic page the contents from the right hand, The blocks didn't change!!! If there is possible I want them to start from the right below the Title..
We should display actual points from GBIF on the species page maps. Each point should be clickable, which is not possible using the GBIF overlay. When clicking on a point, information specific to that point should be displayed. This could perhaps work by interfacing with GBIF from the client side, dynamically adding the points to the map (this would prevent any additional load on our servers), although this would require investigation.
Investigate modules to allow the creation of graphs from views.
Many British based observation sites will use the iRecord/Recorder standard of using grid references (e.g. TQ266790) for locations. It would assist these users considerably if we could automatically convert these fields to a latitude/longitude coordinate. To allow this, a grid reference field could be added to the map field, or perhaps to the Specimen/Observation location content type.
Still i found difficulties uploading the key from lucid key.
I tried to upload the file here that I want to add but its size more than 19.5.
(I turned the file with all key contents into a compressed file)
If you go to http://mosquito-taxonomic-inventory.info/simpletaxonomy/term/6050#overlay=node/1058/edit%3Fdestination%3Dsimpletaxonomy/term/6050 and scroll down to "Species", you will see that all the authors of the species (or authorship of publication where a species was described) from the first in the list down to and including epiroticus Linton & Harbach, 2005 have the authorship highlighted, indicating that there is a link to the article in the bibliography. If you go to the next species in the list, i.e. erepens Gillies, 1958, the author and date, i.e. Gillies, 1958, was highlighted and linked with the following URL - http://mosquito-taxonomic-inventory.info/node/12314, but the link is not active or showing. This applies to all the authors of species on this page and most of the pages between subgenus Cellia and genus Wyeomyia. The authorship of all species in the web site were linked manually in this manner but the links are no longer visible for those numerous ones that I provided links for on 30th June and 1st July. I hope this helps to explain the problem and the links can be recovered.
